The XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia will begin on Friday, February 7. Cheer on Team USA and these U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) athletes who will be heading to the 2014 Games.
Soldiers Competing in Sochi
- Capt. Chris Fogt, Sgt. Justin Olsen, Sgt. Nick Cunningham, Sgt. Dallas Robinson and Team USA assistant coach 1st Lt. Michael Kohn have been selected for the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team. Former WCAP bobsledder Steven Holcomb will also be competing.
- Sgt. Matt Mortensen and Sgt. Preston Griffall have earned spots on the U.S. Olympic Luge Team and will be coached by Staff Sgt. William Tavares.
- U.S. Army World Class Paralympics Program Goalie, SSG Jen Yung Lee was selected for the U.S. Paralympics Sled Hockey team.
- SFC Tuffield Latour will be the USA Skeleton Head Coach.
